1.    Objective:

 The objective of this project is to develop a decision support system that will allow the user to forecast the demand for a company’s product. Forecasting demand for the product is necessary to enable the firm to plan its operations: marketing, finance, and manufacturing, etc. The model to be developed will assist decision makers in better planning for resource needs, setting sale price, promoting product, improving product quality and custom loyalty, etc. The ultimate goal is to help the firm gain competitive advantage and provide greater value for the shareholders and customers through accurate forecasts. The following diagram illustrates the objective hierarchy for this project.
